Commencing Wednesday 25 September 2024
This 10-week programme will aim to provide GDC registered dental therapists who have a non-UK dental qualification with knowledge applicable to working within NHS GDS England. The focus will be on core skills and guidance, with particular emphasis placed on the scope of practice of dental therapists, skills mix, team working and how dental therapists can be utilised effectively in NHS GDS.
This programme is designed to be a prerequisite for the Return to Dental Therapist Scheme (RDT) for non-UK qualified dental therapists.
Educational Programme
The programme will be made up of 10 educational days. Attendance at all educational days is mandatory for a certificate of completion of the programme to be issued. The final programme will be released once delegates have been accepted to the scheme.
Please note that the educational days will take place on a Wednesday (with two taking place on a Monday) from 0900 – 1700 hrs. If you are unable to commit to attending on a Wednesday, you should not apply for the programme.

Venue
The venue for the educational days is the John Lister Postgraduate Centre, Wexham Park Hospital, Slough.
Cost
The cost of each educational study event will be £25.00. This will need to be paid in advance before commencing the programme.

A webinar has been arranged for Thursday 01 August 2024 from 13:15-14:00 hrs.
