Public Health Practitioner Scheme

Public health practitioners are key members of the public health workforce and can have a great influence on the health and wellbeing of individuals, groups, communities and populations. They work across the full breadth of public health in a wide range of settings. Their roles are multidisciplinary and they are responsible for individual and population level interventions.

The OxSPH coordinates an annual ten-month long scheme. Practitioners submit three retrospective commentaries which are mapped according to their knowledge, understanding and application through the UKPHR revised standards.

Applications to join our 2022 cohort will open on the 4th October 2021.
